I've been reading a lot again lately (that's a good thing) and finally opened Twyla Tharp's book, The Creative Habit, thanks to Austin Kleon mentioning it here and there.

As I was reading it this morning, a particular passage stood out to me:

"Doing is better than not doing, and if you do something badly you'll learn to do it better." - Twyla Tharp

The fact that doing something is better than not doing something is a useful and straightforward fact that I think all of us too often fail to embrace, regardless of whether or not we know it to be true.

So as has always been true, taking action is still your best bet. When you don't take action, it's usually because of a fear of whatever the hell is swirling in your head and not real.
